Sep. 29 - Milos 🇬🇷

Another beautiful day to discover the North Shore of Milos. The most unusual was Sarakiniko Beach which is often compared to a moonscape because waves driven by the north winds shape the greyish-white volcanic rock into amazing shapes. We spent the day exploring all the beaches along the north coast before stopping for lunch in Pollonia on the far northeast end of the island. Pollonia is the second most important tourist area of Milos, a charming fishing village, built around a pretty inlet. Milos, like Santorini, is an island that is not only rich in spectacular sunsets and minerals, but also in the things that travellers come to Greece looking for: beautiful beaches, inspiring views, a rich history, white-washed Cycladic villages, excellent food, and good-hearted people. It’s all here. Milos is not on the radar for most travellers, and for that reason it escapes the hoards of tourists that most Greek islands receive. Milos is small enough to navigate in a few days, yet with over 70+ beaches to explore, you can spend weeks here and never get bored. We came here on the recommendation of Jetsetter Magazine who referred to Milos as the “last undiscovered Greek Island” and we are not disappointed. It sure is pretty here and the weather couldn’t be more accommodating with clear skies and a high of 25 degrees Celsius (79 degrees Fahrenheit).
