We arrived in Tumble Creek for a meeting with our contractor to discuss the fire that gutted our home. All of this happened just 3 weeks before we were to have taken possession, and the house sustained major fire damage. Thankfully it happened in the early morning hours, no one was in the home and no one as injured. The Cle Elum fire department arrived quickly and extinguished the fire, not before it burned through the floor, created black smoke damage and was doused by copious amounts of water that created water damage on top of everything else. It is a crushing setback and will delay our move-in date by an undetermined number of months but could also be a full year or possibly more. We walked the house and chocked back the tears but we are strong and we will build back better.
