May 17 - Adios South America

Today we flew from Cusco to Lima to spend our last night in South America. Our home for the day was the Westin Lima, a beautiful property in the financial district. We had a lazy day today, walking around the neighbourhood and enjoying the cool freshness of the autumn air. Those who know Debb, know that she loves wandering the aisles of the local grocery stores to see what they’re selling and to explore exotic foods....the foodie that she is! The Westin upgraded us to a beautiful suite in which we enjoyed every minute. Tomorrow we say goodbye to South America and hello to Canada! It’s been a great trip. Hasta luego!

Lima, the city that goes on forever! Unfortunately, this is the foggy season so morning fog shrouds the seaside which is normally visible from this property,

San Isidro, the financial district, from our hotel room. Lima’s almost 9 million people and the traffic create a crunch 24x7!
