Arriving in Dubrovnik is magical! The UNESCO site of Dubrovnik is often referred to as the Pearl of the Adriatic. The beautifully preserved Gothic, Renaissance and Baroque churches, monasteries, palaces & fountains make this place so special. We walked the finest and most spectacular walls in the world. Those of the Fort Lawrence and the city provide a view over the old town and shimmering Adriatic. The Placa Stradun is the Main Street of the old town and is paved with gorgeous limestone that has held up to wear over thousands of years. It’s as slippery as ice so tread carefully! After a tour up the gondola we drove East for a fantastic lunch by the river at Konavoski Dvori. Such a beautiful spot!
