June 28 - Warsaw an unexpected pleasure 🇵🇱

A decade ago the city was dreary & uninviting. But things have changed dramatically. The Varsovians are chic & sophisticated. Young professionals dress & dine as well as the Parisians and Milanese. Today’s Warsaw has gleaming new office towers, glitzy shopping malls, inviting parks & pedestrian zones, hipster culture to rival Brooklyn or Portland & a gourmet coffee shop or designer pastry store on every corner. We strolled down revitalized boulevards & leafy parks and communed with the sole of Poland at a couple of state-of-the-art museums. Normally the streets are teeming with tourists but we have it all to ourselves. It’s so surreal! Warsaw was an unexpected pleasure and glad we’ll be back to finish our tour here in 10 days!
