Today was a day fit for the wine lover in each of us. A 35 minute drive from the villa landed us smack dab in the middle of the Chateauneuf wine region. First stop was Domaine de Beaurenard (Beautiful Fox) a family business that is now in its 8th generation. We enjoyed a great tasting with Sylvie and came away with several of our favorites to enjoy back home in Canada/USA. Then a pause at Le Vieux Danjon (the old dungeon) which was unfortunately closed. Our last stop before lunch was Domaine Durieu, a favourite from our last visit in 2019. We enjoyed several of their wines and stocked up on it to accompany our dinner tonight. Then, we stopped for a delicious lunch at Maisonueta before enjoying a promenade up to the top of the old town and the Chateauneuf castle. Such a beautiful spot!
