After a 7:00 departure from Figari we arrived in Marseilles after a quick 1 hour Air Corsica flight. Our Villa in Beaumes de Venise is a 75 minute drive from the airport and we can’t check in before 4 PM so the plan was to drive to Avignon, see the sights and enjoy lunch then to hit the Haribo candy museum in Uzes before launching for the Villa. Of course, what should one do if one happens upon a few wineries enroute? Stop for a tasting or dégustation de vins As the French say. We found Le Domain De L’Aqueduc and stopped to sample some beautiful whites, reds and roses which were delicious enough for us to want to stock up….and so we did. After check-in at the Villa we were so hot, it’s 41 degrees Celsius today, we couldn’t wait to jump into the pool.
