June 10 - Play Day

OK, last day in CDA. What shall we do? Since leaving our friends in Toscana, we’ve not even swung a pickle ball racquet or a golf club. It’s been 6 weeks and with the weather continuing to cooperate we have a strong hankering to get out and do one of those things. Our neighbor, Joe, tells us to skip the high price and crowd at the Coeur d’Alene Resort course and go instead to The Highlands Golf Course, set atop the hills overlooking Post Falls, Idaho. The Highlands peeks out from among its tall pines and gorgeous Northern Idaho scenery. Established in 1991 and designed by Jim Krause, The Highlands offers 6,369 yards of play and believe me, it was plenty of challenge to these two who seemingly forgot how to play the game until about the 4th hole! Fore!

Oh what a beautiful morning! Let’s go golf!

Could be anywhere, but this is the 401 yard, 8th hole and it was warm!
