July 9 & 10 - Mallorca to Stuttgart, Germany 🇩🇪

Goodbye Spain and hello Germany. While the flying time was only 90 minutes the travel day is still exhausting. From check-out at the Castillo Son Vida to check-in at Hotel Fuchsen, total elapsed time was 6 hours! The weather on arrival in Stuttgart was a much cooler, 78 degrees with plenty of sun. We enjoyed a beautiful dinner with Martin & Martina and their children at the Putsch residence. Needless to say the food and the hospitality was outstanding. Martin is Chairman and owner of RECARO, the company on whose board I sit. We have Board and committee meetings over the next 2 days. Time to put on the suit I’ve been hauling with me over the past 6 weeks!

Home for the next 3 nights in Kirchheim unter Teck

Cute little town in the district of Esslingen. It is 10 Km from the Teck castle, and 35 Km southeast of Stuttgart

The home of Gertrud and Otto Morike, a pastor of the Evangelical Church provided refuge & help to Jews “on the run” especially during the final phase of WWII. Morike consistently opposed the Nazi regime, criticized the continuing existence of concentration camps and the impunity of the Gestapo. .
