July 22 - Antiparos, Greece 🇬🇷

Our last day on Antiparos. It’s gone fast and to tomorrow we start the long journey home to North America with a 2-day stop in Athens. Today we explored the Cave of Antiparos, the biggest tourist attraction on the island. It sits 171 meters above sea level and encompasses an area of 5,600 square meters. At its maximum depth it’s 100 meters deep and visitors descend 400 steps. Debb got claustrophobia about 2/3 of the way down and couldn’t continue. I have to admit the space was a little confining and reminiscent of a spelunking trip we made more than a decade ago on Vancouver Island with Dara Schmidt. Afterward we ascended to daylight, grabbed a couple of cold beers at the local watering hole and enjoyed them on the beach while watching the wind surfers and kite boarders lasso the wind which is blowing hard today. Looks like fun. Debb hit the spa again for a moisturizing facial then we went back to town for our last dinner in the Cyclades. Filled with gratitude!
