July 13 - Paros, Greece 🇬🇷 & Kolympthres beach

One of the most famous beaches of Paros, Kolympthres is located in the huge bay of Naoussa, or Plastira Bay, which is in full view from our pool deck. This beach is particularly impressive because of the huge blocks of granite bordering it, sculpted into strange smooth shapes by the sea and wind over the centuries. The meltemi are blowing again today but the granite cliffs provide good protection from the wind gusts. The water is shallow here and the Aegean is significantly warmer as a result. Lunch at the local taverna featured fresh, grilled squid. Yummy. A walk around town then home for happy hour. Another perfect day on the islands of Greece!
