August 25-27 - Tumble Creek, WA 🇺🇸

Play time continues. The Farmers Market on Sunday, a game of golf, and a BBQ of chops from the Owens Family Meat Market which has been serving meat to tables of families in the northwest and across the country for over 125 years. It is thought that Owens Meats is the oldest continuously operated family business in Kittitas County and perhaps one of the oldest in the state of Washington. They opened their doors in 1887, two years before Washington became a state! It all started with Morgan Owens who moved to Roslyn for the coal and stayed to feed generations of coal miners. Today Owens is famous around the country for quality and taste. Among the market’s more famous customers are Derek Jeter (NY Yankees), Paul Abbott & Jamie Moyer (both of the Seattle Mariners). Over the next couple of days we enjoyed beautiful weather and additional rounds of golf. On Tuesday the 27th we hooked up with our good friends Matt & Traci and their son Ethan for cocktails and dinner at the Yerbic home in Suncadia. I think this place is going to be great!
