The end of another great season at Toscana in Indian Wells is upon us and today we pulled up stakes, loaded up our new car, and pointed northeast toward Washington State with a first stop in Las Vegas. We’ve decided that our road trip should have no days with more than about 5 hours of driving. It’s been almost 3 years since we started our new home “build” in Tumble Creek and we were to have received our keys to the house on May 25th and started our new life in the community. But on Monday this week, we received a call from our contractor that our home had suffered a major fire and our life in Cle Elum is on hold for who knows how long……maybe a year or more! So while our drive home won’t end with a housewarming party, we’re committed to staying positive, looking forward, and being focused on building back better! In the meantime, who doesn’t love a day in Las Vegas? We were looking for signs that our luck was about to change when Debb pulled several winning slots. Things are going to be all right!
